VeryNifty V0.5: Accessories, Cashback & Governance(!?)

We are excited to finally release the first version of VNFTx. VNFTx is an upgradeable contract meaning we can keep adding new features or patch some bugs (unlike the original VNFT) while keeping the current game state like rarity, hp, challenges, and more. With VNFTx we are introducing a new way to define a “good” pet, here’s what’s new:
HP And Rarity
Rarity
Every pet’s rarity points will start at 0, every accessory you attach to your pet has X rarity points, the higher your rarity points the higher your chances of reaching the so desirable 100 Hp.
It is important to maintain a decent rarity score because if you lose a battle (coming in a few days) your rarity points will go down and limit your accessory usage in the game.
HP
The max HP a pet can achieve is 100, while the lowest is 0.
HP is compromised of 3 deciding factors: 70% how aggressive you are leveling up, 15% if your rarity points is above certain threshold, and 15% by how many add-ons you own, the current maximum addons is 2.
Hp is now a core component of the game that will show how active you are, HP will also be the qualifier for certain accessories and features within the game (example battles and cashback), as well as might be taken into consideration for a new leaderboard calculation, this is pending community discussion.
The Bazaar
The bazaar is where you’ll manage all your addons. Different accessories will have different powers.
All new accessories will be introduced via the Bazaar and will cost Muse to buy (95% gets burned, 5% goes to artist), some accessories quantity will be limited and will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
When you buy an accessory, it gets attached to a pet you choose. You can unwrap your accessory from a pet and sell it on OpenSea or transfer it to another pet. Some accessory are also designed to be used only one time.
Accessories can also be bought in secondary market, so if you missed on a limited accessory you might get lucky and get it from OpenSea at a higher price.
Introducing the first 3 accessories
We are very excited to continue working with Rektmerev.eth, and he is the creator of the 3 first accessories.
The Legend
This is a 1 of 1, will never be minted again, it gives you high rarity points and costs 1000 Muse.
Colorful
This accessory will give you 40 rarity points and the option to change the color of 1 attribute of your pet (each pet has a different attribute that can be colored). This addon costs 50 Muse and is limited to the first 700 pets, this CAN turn your pet into a 1 of 1.
Cashback
With all these new features we expect from users to start using more muse, therefore we are introducing a new way to reward them!
The cashback accessory is limited to 450 pets on a first come first serve basis and costs 250 muse, it will also give you 100 rarity points.
Melonpans can buy cahsbacks accessories at any time (on top of the 450 limited edition), note that we might discontinue Melonpans at any time.
Unlike most accessories, cashbacks can’t be transfered or sold, they will make your pet extra valuable in the game as your pet can get more muse than the rest.
Muse Cashback will be rewarded once a week, to qualify you’ll need to own the cashback accessory, maintain at least 90 hp for the week (calculated by feeding, not fatalizing) and you’ll get 40% of your weekly muse spent on leveling up.
Stay tuned for a detailed article on how to claim your cashbacks and when it is live (matter of days), all your points and muse spent will be counted retroactively.
Artist Program
With VNFTx we are introducing our artist program! we will vet the best artists from the NFT community and invite them to not only design accessories but provide ideas from their creativity on what those accessories should do, Rektmerev was the first and offered great help and deciding factors besides the art.
Every artist designing accessories will get a 5% on each buy from the bazaar.
When Battles and Cashback?
Battles and cashback claiming is ready and will be deployed a few days after the accessories to make sure everything works on main net.
Please be aware that no one can kill your pet besides you not feeding it, being attacked will only reduce the number of features you can use
My vNFT as governance vote for a Loan or Dex system?
We never hid our plans of making something bigger than a game within the NFT ecosystem, after all https://verynifty.io says we are a NFT experiments shop.
When VNFTx becomes stable after a few weeks we are gonna start focusing on a new idea, while still spending half the day on vNFT’s new features (this will be relatively easy with the upgradability of VNFTx).
We are tinkering on the best approaches of creating an NFT loan system or NFT dex, not just for vNFT but for all the NFT ecosystem.
Whatever we create next will have Muse and vNFT as the backbone of it, so if any of our experiments work you should be rewarded in the VeryNifty platform (not just the game, but anything we do).
One idea that is leading our thoughts on early brainstormings is having VNFTs and their levels be weighted as governance token/votes in a future DEX or loan system, instead of a token (muse). This makes both your pet and Muse valuable as you need muse to power your pets.
All this comes from the hypothesis that if we are gonna serve NFT users, we should have a way to stay core to the vNFT ideals and what better way than staying humble by playing vNFT where you pet can die if you don’t stay active?, this should align incentives with future voters to be participants in the NFT ecosystem and not just a wallet with big gains in it.
This is all experimental, don’t invest money in us
We like to emphasize over and over that this is all experimental and you should not invest money in us if you are expecting to make returns. This is our experiment with fair launching, NFTs and community development, we are trying to do something big or fail badly.
